The Board of Education of the Scarsdale Union Free School District will hold the following meetings in Room 170-172 at Scarsdale High School, 2 Brewster Road, on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.

At 9:00 a.m., the Board will convene its annual Organizational Meeting, at which it will elect officers and attend to annual appointments, designations, and authorizations.

Suzie Hahn will be attending the meetings virtually due to extraordinary circumstances, according to Policy 2340 - Notice of Meetings and 2340-E - Board Meeting Video Conferencing Procedures.

Immediately following the Organizational Meeting, the Board will convene a Public Hearing on the Code of Conduct.

Immediately following the Public Hearing, the Board will convene a Business Meeting. Highlights of the Business Meeting agenda include:

• A Consent Agenda;

• Cabinet Updates;

• Information and Discussion items, including the District Treasurer’s Report & Schedule of Investments, budget transfers, the first reading of draft Policy 8113 - Extreme Heat Condition Days, and draft Policy 1400-R Public Complaints and Exhibit 1400-E Complaint(s) About Instructional & Library Materials, preliminary discussions regarding the Board’s goals, the Superintendent’s evaluation template, summer work for Board members, and gift proposals over $1,0000; and

• Action items include budget transfers, the adoption of Policy 5695 - Students and Personal Electronic Devices, the 2025-26 tax levy, proposed new textbooks, a gift proposal to the High School, and an amendment to a previously approved gift.

It is anticipated that the Board will adjourn the Business Meeting into an Executive Session to discuss matters related to collective bargaining negotiations.
