Library Lessons @ Edgewood Our first graders have been learning from Ms. Turner about library etiquette, book genres, and how to browse the shelves to find books to enjoy! Developing respect for books and library materials is one small step on the road to helping every student to develop a lifelong love of literature and research. Our K-12 library program fosters the information fluency skills required for independent and lifelong learning, and the digital competencies students need to navigate a complex information landscape. |

Our School is a Family! Heathcote students and teachers have been thinking about how we treat our family, and what it means to be a friend through the study of the shared text Our School is a Family by Shannon Olsen. School-wide texts help learners across grade levels to build a shared understanding of important ideas, and to develop connections with one another. Shared texts also help all students in our schools to feel seen, heard, and valued. |
