The Board of Education of the Scarsdale Union Free School District will hold the following meetings on Monday, May 12, 2025, in Room 170-172 at Scarsdale High School, 2 Brewster Road, unless noted otherwise. 

At 5:00 p.m., the Board will convene a Special Meeting with a group of Board liaisons and volunteers in the High School Learning Commons.

At 6:00 p.m., the Board will convene a Special Meeting. It is anticipated that the Board will enter into an Executive Session to discuss matters related to the employment history of a particular person(s).

Please note: Following the Executive Session, it may be necessary to delay the start of the Special Meeting for approximately 5 minutes for the audiovisual and technical setup.

At 6:30 p.m., the Board will convene a Special Meeting to present the Tenure Recommendations for 2025. The Board will act on the recommendations of the Superintendent to confer tenure for the individuals presented.

At 7:00 p.m., the Board will hold a Statutory Budget Hearing on the 2025-26 Proposed Budget. 

Immediately following the Statutory Budget Hearing, the Board will convene a Business Meeting.

Highlights of the Business Meeting agenda are:

• Cabinet Updates;

• A Consent Agenda, including a Personnel Report;

• Information and Discussion items, including an update from the Capital Projects Steering Committee, a Treasurer’s Report, budget transfers, an Education Report: Year-End-Update - Elementary Math and the Rolling Gradebook, the third reading of Policy 2245 - Ex-Officio Student Member of the Board of Education, the second reading of Policy 5695 - Students and Personal Electronic Devices, the first reading of Policy 8113 - Extreme Heat Condition Days, the 2025-26 WPSBA Administrative Budget and Board of Directors slate, a Board discussion on Board leadership and succession planning, the Superintendent evaluation process, and gift proposals over $1,000; and

• Action items including the 2025-26 District-wide Safety and Emergency Management Plan, the WPSBA administrative budget and Board of Directors slate, budget transfers, and gift proposals to Edgewood and Fox Meadow Elementary Schools.
