Title: Addition
- Big Book of Edgewood's Construction Site
Purpose: To document the construction process of the new
addition at Edgewood School.
The process would be photographed and compiled as a "big book".
Kenneth Holvig, Middle School ($1000)
Title: The STI: Into the Millennium and Beyond
Purpose: To provide access to the local community and the
national educational community, multimedia highlighting the work of
the Institute. This project will provide videotape, CD-ROM and Internet
offerings to meet this need.
Sue Goldman, Sharon Waskow, Middle School ($500)
Title: Black History Through Literature
Purpose: To trace the history of the Black struggle for equality
beginning with slavery and continuing to the present, through literature
written by Blacks.
Kenneth Holvig, Andy Verboys, Middle School ($1000)
Title: ithink therefore iMovie
Purpose: To design a tutorial for the new iMovie video editing
program as well as a series of curriculum projects using the iMovie
technology .
Doug Rose, Len Tallevi, Middle School ($1000)
Title: Leadership and Learning Through Archetypes
Purpose: To combine character education and curriculum content
to promote leadership skills in students through the use of archetypes.
Sara Berger, Christine Del Negro, Debbie Heyman, Fox Meadow ($1000)
Title: Team Teaching: Literature Based Instruction and Portfolio
Assessment
Purpose: To conduct a year-long study at Fox Meadow to address
the topics of team teaching within the framework of district English
Language Arts Standards, by creating and implementing a defined series
of literature-based activities using shared materials and collaborative
teaching techniques and a portfolio assessment program.
Jeannette Stockton, Edgemont Junior/Senior High School ($1000)
Title: Photographic Book Arts
Purpose: To expand photography beyond yet another print.
Using both photography and xerography, a series of artists and childrens
books will be created combining assorted book models with photographic
images by students.

Title: Addressing Student Concerns Before They Escalate
Purpose: To engage students who might not otherwise come
to the attention of staff and offer them a connection within the school
community. It will include those students who are progressing and do
not demonstrate outstanding needs.
