1. Title: Spotlight
on the Environment and Its Watersheds
Purpose: To develop a sixth grade interdisciplinary
unit of environmental studies focusing on Hudson Valley wetlands and
culminating in a “Spotlight on the Environment” program.

2. Title: Depictions of Women in
Medieval Celtic Art
Purpose: To study and photograph medieval manuscripts,
including the Book of Kells, at Trinity College for the purpose of documenting
depictions of the religious and secular roles of women in Celtic art
to be included in the AT Art History curriculum.

3. Title: Math Differentiation in the 21st Century
Purpose: To advance differentiated instruction in the
mathematics class-room through the development of instructional techniques
and the technologies that support them, including SmartBoard and interactive

4. Title: On the Inside / On the Outside
Purpose: To engage eighth grade students in a cross-house
poetry writ-ing project developing the themes of empathy, emotion, iden-tity,

5. Title: A Visual History of the
Quaker Ridge School Library 2007
Purpose: To document the 2007-2008 Quaker Ridge library
construction project in a volume of photographs and children’s
writings that will also serve as a sequel to a four-volume set containing
similar artifacts of the 1973-74 Quaker Ridge library construction.

Purpose To expand research capabilities in science through the use of
videoconferencing in a library–based unit exploring the works
