1. Laura Chess, Melissa Demarest, Danielle Levine-Salem – Greenville School - $1000
Title:
Surveying Keyboarding Curricula
Purpose: To research Edgemont and neighboring school districts for expectations of keyboarding at various grade levels and to make recommendations regarding the curriculum integration of keyboarding.

2. Maria Winston – Edgemont Jr/Sr High School - $1000
Title:
Environmental Club Sustainability Project
Purpose: To install a “Green Roof” area on the Edgemont Jr/Sr High School campus and to develop related curricular activities.

3. Caryn Margolis – Edgemont Jr/Sr High School - $1000
Title:
Where Has All the Water Gone?
Purpose: To produce a teaching video of students in Africa and the United States with the purpose of increasing awareness of the effects of global warming, climatic changes, and pollution on the water supply of the developing world..

4. Barbara Laman, Jan Schorr – Fox Meadow School - $1000
Title:
Developing a Music Resource Area in Fox Meadow
Purpose:To create a Fox Meadow lending library of musical instruments, CDs, and printed music used in the music curriculum.

5. Louise Kuklis – Edgemont Junior/Senior High School - $800
Title:
We Can Do Better Than That!
Purpose: To develop a series of student-produced short films to be used in the teaching of economics.

6. Barbara Horowitz, Pat Kuschman – Greenville School - $1000
Title:
Against All Odds: A Biography Study
Purpose: To foster resiliency in students through the study of biography using books and guest speakers as resources.

7. Stephen Walsh – Scarsdale Middle School - $1000
Title:
A π Day at the Middle School
Purpose:To organize a Pi Day scavenger hunt for students on March 14th, Na- tional Pi Day

8. Celia Cuk, Connie Shelengian – Scarsdale Middle School - $1000
Title: Singing the Praises of Essential Musicianship and Repertoire for Vocalists
Purpose: To pilot a comprehensive, sequential choral musicianship program by combining voice study, music theory, and the direct application of the two in music reading skills.

9. Phyllis DiBianco, Dina Hofstetter – Scarsdale High School - $1000
Title: Developing an Interdisciplinary Framework for Visual Literacy
Purpose:To create a common framework and vocabulary for analyzing visual artifacts for teachers and students across all disciplines.

10. Sue Luft, Stacy Wierl, Co-Chairs, Bring Back the Park Committee – Fox Meadow School - $1000
Title: Bring Back the Park
Purpose: To renew and restore the Fox Meadow Science Nature Park as a cross- curricular outdoor environmental classroom.

11. Lila Ainsworth, Jill Schultz – Fox Meadow School - $1000
Title: Reinforcing Suzuki Pedagogy Through Technology
Purpose: To produce a DVD for parents and students to aid home practice of the Suzuki repertoire.

Title: Smartboard Meets Handwriting Without Tears
Purpose:To develop activities for teaching handwriting skills in the primary grades using SmartBoard interactive whiteboard technology
