bday

Dear Parents,

I think it is really important to celebrate every child’s birthday. On his/her big day, I give them a crown, a card, and pencil. This year we do have peanut/nut allergies in our class. I ask that if you decide to send in a food item please let me know what it is in advance. Also, please read all food labels. If the label says it "may contain", "made on equipment", or "made in a facility" that contains nuts or peanuts, it's not 100% safe. In previous years, jello was a nice treat for all. Or in lieu of food treats, you could send in something special for your child’s birthday. It could be a small arts and crafts activity for the class to do (Oriental Trading is a great place to look). I already have the special glue that is used with the foam projects from Oriental Trading. You could send in a balloon for each child in the class. You could send in a special book your child would like to read in class.

Be creative! As your child’s birthday gets closer, please let me know in advance what you’re planning to send in. I ask that you send in your something “special” that morning and we will celebrate during our free time that day.

Summer birthdays will be celebrated in June. Just pick a date and let me know.

Thank you so much for your help. I really appreciate it. Please call me if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you!
Jennifer
