Multicultural Committee


The Multicultural Committee welcomes families from other countries to the Greenacres community, plans the international student luncheon in March and coordinates classroom activities for the entire school community to increase awareness of diversity.  

During the week of March 18th to March 22nd, the Multicultural Committee sponsored activities for all to enjoy. 
 

 

AROUND THE WORLD lunch recess presentations:  During  lunch recess, parent volunteers held  country specific  presentations in the Music room, including:    
  • Monday March 18: Australian sports
  • Wednesday March 20: China with songs and games

                  Parent volunteers also taught GA students  a song, Looking For A Friend. 
                  You would be amazed how quickly they learned the song!  
 

 

MULTICULTURAL LUNCHEON: Tuesday March 19

 

 

MULTICULTURAL FUSION DANCE ASSEMBLY: Friday March 22: 
The whole school enjoyed this assembly featuring Michael Mao's multicultural fusion dance troop.

 


MULTICULTURAL MUSEUM: On display  throughout the month of March,  in the Library and in the Glass curio by the Huntington entrance. Thank you to all of our wonderful Greenacres parents for loaning  your treasured items from around the world for all to see.
