Fox Meadow After School Clubs

Welcome to the Winter/Spring 2013 Semester of Fox Meadow After School Clubs!

The Fox Meadow After School Clubs (SASC--FM) program is designed to provide enriching experiences for Fox Meadow children in a familiar environment after the school day ends. A variety of clubs are offered each semester and are taught by talented, paid professionals. Your family must be a member of the 2012-13 Fox Meadow PTA in order for your children to participate. The SASC--FM program is organized and administered by Fox Meadow PTA volunteers, and is not affiliated with the Scarsdale School District.

As always, we have several exciting NEW clubs in the line-up this semester.  Create your own clothing line in Fashion Design, build robots with LEGO® Mindstorms®, perfect your serve in Volleyball, construct the next best Tappan Zee in Model Bridge Building, go undercover in Secret Agent Lab, keep that beat in Drums, score a goal in Soccer, and explore the world of Computer Animation and Game Creation with Scratch and SketchUp.  Many of our regular clubs as well as some of the new fall additions will be returning for another semester, including some clubs that will now be open to different age groups than before.

As always, we are pleased that many talented Fox Meadow faculty members will be club instructors this semester, including Bethany Unterberger Alden, David Besancon (former FM classroom teacher and now District math helping teacher), Michele Boyum, Alyssa Coleman, Alethea Lynch, Peter McKenna, Jan Schorr, Duncan Wilson, and joining us for the first time, Sydney Lipez.

Fall Registration Period: Monday, September 10 through Friday, September 14, 2012
Fall Clubs Begin: Monday, October 1, 2012
Last Regularly Scheduled Week Fall Club Semester: Monday, January 7 through Friday, January 11, 2013
Winter/Spring Registration Period: Monday, January 7 through Friday, January 11, 2013
Make-Up Week for Fall Club Semester:  Monday, January 14 through Friday, January 18, 2013
School Play Rehearsals and Performance:  Monday, January 21 through Saturday, February 2, 2013
Winter/Spring Clubs Begin:  Monday, February 4, 2013
Winter/Spring Clubs end: Friday, May 10, 2013
