Birthdays!!
A man was born on February 29, 1928. He died on January 29,2004. How many actual birthdays did he get to celebrate during his life (not counting the day he was born as a birthday)? Hint: Don't forget about leap years.
Please explain how you solved this problem.

18.
He would have celebrated 74 birthdays if his birthday was the 28, and he would have celebrated another if he died after his birthday in 2004.
I subtracted 2004 by 1928 and got 75. Then I subtraced one more because he didn't have his birthday in 2004 yet. Then I had 74. I had to divide it by 4 because there is one leap year in every four years. I got 18 with a little remainder.
I agree with Robby, except 2004-1928=75, not 74. Still, 18 remains the answer.
